Weekend
Hi All, Just a wee quick note to wish everyone a good weekend when it comes! All the best, C. | | Wednesday, May 6th, 2009 | | 8:01 am |
Well that was Whitby ... First post since our return from Whitby, a bit of a quick post. We had a good time during our stay, great wee cottage we were in, and just across the river which was brilliant. Between us, lavindelf and I made it to a few nights and had a great time. Amélie was in top form and she even got her pic in the gazette in one of her outfits. I went to the footie match, it was brilliant (not the result but it could've been worse), a good laugh! :-) Hope everyone who made it there had a brill time! Cheers! Hi All! I hope you all have a Happy Easter! And also anyone going to Whitby we may see you there! By the way in all the years I've been going there, I've seen quite a few cars and hearses in all their glories, but never ever have I seen a gothed up black Reliant Robin, would that be so wrong? ;-) C. | | Thursday, April 2nd, 2009 | | 7:55 am |
TV & Film stuff
Well, some odd stuff today, seems that Rowan Atkinson is likely to play the part of Bilbo in the new Hobbit film according to one website and in the Metro this morning read that new episodes of Red Dwarf are to happen. Thoughts on this anyone? C. | | Tuesday, March 31st, 2009 | | 1:46 pm |
Cat stuff Hi, Thanks to everyone who posted on lavindelf 's journal regarding our cat Cezanne's passing, it means a lot to us.He was quite a cat, very sociable, a real lap cat and charmed everyone who met him. C. | | Friday, February 27th, 2009 | | 10:59 am |
Floodland
Well, we had a bit of a flood at the NLS today. You don't get on the bus and expect to read about a flood at your work in the Metro, well I did. Our department has escaped it thankfully though some others had some damage. Flood news made it onto BBC Scotland I hear. The weekend starts here! C. | | Friday, February 20th, 2009 | | 12:25 pm |
Next time ...
Well, have heard from the estate agent, no luck this time, house wasn't exactly what the viewers were looking for. We remain positive though, better luck next time ... . Our thanks to everyone for their best wishes and positive thoughts. C. | | Thursday, February 19th, 2009 | | 8:54 am |

Power to the people???
Well, in the space of half an hour we've had two power cuts at work, one right in the middle of me cataloguing a work, perhaps there's a pattern here for today ... . Anyone else had anything similar recently? C. Update : This has happened on and off umpteen times this morning, seems to have stabilised now (for the moment), crazy eh? | | Thursday, January 15th, 2009 | | 7:50 am |
Stuff
Well, I've started travelling by bus this week, getting used to the change of travel mode, a tad bumpy but definitely lower stress levels and it's cheaper to boot, result! C. Current Music: Maximum acceleration - Ultravox/John Foxx (in ma heid) | | Monday, January 12th, 2009 | | 1:06 pm |
First Scotrail
Well, that was an interesting start to the week, got to the train station as per usual and waited for train to arrive, it was delayed by about 5 minutes, again nothing unusual. Things were going ok until between South Gyle and Haymarket and a strange noise could be heard on the train and it ground to a halt. An announcement was made to the effect it was a mechanical delay and would get things moving as soon as possible. About half an hour later we moved off again only to grind to a halt once more. this happened a total of five times before we eventually arrived at Haymarket where it was decided to terminate the train journey. All in all, the trip took me nearly two hours! Well, it could've been worse so am glad I got into Edinburgh ok, just hope the trip home is uneventful. A brand New Year
Hi Everyone! A Happy New Year to you all! Best wishes for 2009! May it bring you good things. I'm not very good at making resolutions 'n' stuff, never keep them for very long. Hopefully I'll post and comment a bit more this year, will see. I know a few of you have been having difficult times over the last 12 months and though I've not posted many comments I do hope you all are getting through these times and wish you a better year. Take care and best wishes, C. | | Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008 | | 3:17 pm |
